Welcome to Sensible IM, I’m Bruce. I enjoy helping people build better information management skills and habits.

I’ve worked as an Information Management (IM) professional for the past 20 years, with roles in the education, not-for-profit, public, and private sectors.

I’ve lived in Central, Eastern, and Western Canada, as well as London (UK). A degree in the history of world religions (McGill ’04), led to a degree in library and information studies (McGill ’08) with a specialization in archival studies. My work is also informed by experience in retail, groundskeeping, security, restaurants, and warehousing.

I also love to take photographs in my spare time.

Sensible IM is based in W̱S͸ḴEM (“Land of Clay”), the territory of the Tseycum First Nation, and believes all settlers have a responsibility to help the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples flourish and preserve their lands and traditions for future generations.
